Smiles and laughter

While most of us appreciate seeing a smile on our children’s faces or hearing them laugh, these things take on so much more meaning when our loved ones are in recovery from addiction.

When our son smiles or laughs my heart and spirit both soar.  He is in good health and enjoying life. That is all we've ever wanted for our children.

One year ago, things were very different. Our son was in active addiction and desperate for help. Things had gotten so bad with his disease that we thought for sure we were going to lose him. Somehow, he made it through until he got treatment, and is now six months into his recovery, living one day at a time. We are so grateful.

I hope our story gives hope to others who are battling addiction and their families. Recovery is possible!  Don’t ever give up.

Sincerely,
Rose
